چکیده
In recent years methods have been proposed to extend classical game theory into the quantum domain. In a previous publication the nature of several non-commutative games was briefly analyzed. Here we give an analysis of the simplest non-commutative quantum game, which is a gambling game much like simple heads or tails. The quantum game displays strategies which, though non direct-product strategies, allow for correlations between the players pay-off.

متن کاملJOB MARKET PAPER: Prudence in Bargaining: The Effect of Uncertainty on Bargaining Outcomes
We investigate the outcome of bargaining when a player’s pay-off from agreement is risky. We find that a risk-averse player typically increases his equilibrium receipts when his pay-off is made risky. This is because the presence of risk makes individuals behave “more patiently” in bargaining. Strong analogies are drawn to the precautionary saving literature. We show that the effect of risk on ...

متن کاملLiterature Review for Gambling Among the Corrections Population
Introduction Oregon is home to about 23,000 pathological gamblers and many of them turn to crime to support their gambling after legal sources of funds are exhausted. Studies show that two out of three pathological gamblers commit crimes in order to pay off debts or to continue gambling (Brown, 1987). While the majority of crimes are non-violent, they affect all of us by contributing to higher ...
متن کاملA 2-Person Game with Lack of Information on 1½ Sides
We consider a repeated 2-person 0-sum game with incomplete information about the pay-off matrix. Player I (maximizer) knows the real pay-off matrix but he is uncertain about the beliefs of his opponent. We show that in this case the Aumann-Maschler results on incomplete information on one side no longer hold. In particular such a game will not have a value in general, in spite of the fact that ...
